Favorite Lift: Clean and Jerk and Snatch
How long have you been CrossFitting? : September 2016 (5 months)
What keeps you coming back?: The challenge, you never know how your body and mind will be challenged…
How did you ﬁnd CrossFit? : i just needed a change from the normalcy of the meat head weight training. CrossFit always was appealing to me, but never thought i could withstand the grind and I’m glad i ventured out of my comfort zone.
How did you end up at CrossFit Aestus: I knew CrossFIt Aestus was up the road from the house and went in to try it out (2 week trial) and was hooked after a Saturday morning power hour/partner wod.
What is your athletic background: Professional Baseball Player (MILB 8YEARS)
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle and level of ﬁtness?: Really hasn’t changed my lifestyle, but it has really changed the way i look at working out. Nothing I’ve done in the past even comes close to what you can accomplish through CrossFit.
What is the One Thing you have done here that you never thought you could do?: Overcame the fear of the torture
What motivates/inspires you?: The feeling after a WOD and achieving new pr’s
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement?: Grinding through a Saturday morning Power Hour w/270 burpees programmed
Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit?: Receive L1 Certificate and teach/motivate other athletes.
What goals have you achieved in CrossFit?: Too many to count, from stringing du’s together, learning how to snatch, ring mu’s. Many goals achieved through the great coaching.
Hobbies/interests outside of CrossFit? Shopping at Whole Foods
Tell me about your diet: pancakes and pizza
Any advice for new members?: Don’t be afraid. Accept the fact that it is going to be tough, mentally and physically.
Coaches thoughts: Kevin has been a great addition to the CFA Family. In the short time he’s been with us he stood out not just for the skills he developed, but for the personality he brought to the box every day. His presence in the 9:30 class made the challenge fun. It’s been rewarding to “coach a coach”. I think I may have learned more than I taught Kevin.
